House of Prayer: March Prayer Points

“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” –Isaiah 56:7 “The prayers of the righteous avail much.” ––James 5:16a 

Answered Prayers (Thank You, Lord):
1. For the successful parish annual meeting and the great reports from committees and ministries. 2. For the students enrolled at St. Philip’s Academy. 3. For the wonderful worship being led by Chris, Paul, and Zippy. 4. For all the workers and their continued faithful and excellent restoration work. 5. For the success of the GriefShare ministry. 6. For the teachings and success of the Rev. Andrew O’Dell’s Foundations class and the Rev. Brian McGreevy’s C.S. Lewis class. For all those attending. 7. For Alonzo Crawford, our new assistant for young adult and family ministry starting in June, and for his family. 8. For Brandon Lukacsko, our new director of finance and facilities. 9. For the new Vestry members: Joe Anderton, Daniel Layfield, Dan Russler, and Bill Stafford.

Prayer Points:
1. For the continued safety of the workers. For the construction timelines to work out. 2. For continued blessings and protection for Bishop Edgar, our clergy, and their families. 3. For the Academy classes to be filled. For extra wisdom for Justin as he directs the many decisions involved, including teacher selection. 4. For Lent to be a special time of reflection for the people. 5. For extra strength and good health for our clergy and staff.

Ukraine: For peace between Russia and Ukraine and wisdom for those working towards it. May God’s guidance prevail in every meeting. For Putin and Zelenskyy to be able to agree to a cease fire and stop the war. For Putin to have a change of heart or remove his position of authority.

Venezuela: For the current leader to be surrounded with wise counsel and begin to restore what the enemy has stolen from the people.

Iran: For the new leader to be a godly person and care for the people. For protection for our military as they do their part to free Iran.

Haiti: For the safety of the doctors, nurses, and patients going back and forth from the clinic we support through our World Missions Team. For a godly leader to be raised up in the upcoming election. For Holy Innocents Church, the new church being founded by Père Vil.

Israel: For the peace agreement to remain in place and to be protected. For those in authority to have unity and wisdom as they move into the next phases to restore and rebuild the land in Gaza. For protection for Israel and peace within the walls of Jerusalem. For mercy for all of the people misplaced during these multiple war zones. For the humanitarian aid that they need to be provided and the supplies protected. For Hamas to lay down their weapons.

USA: For wisdom for the Supreme Court justices as they make decisions that affect the country and people. For the president to be surrounded by people who provide wise counsel. May they be people of prayer. For safety and protection for all in authority from the president down to our local governors, officials, and their families. For the new Board of Peace to be successful as the many countries involved work for unity and peace throughout the world. For Trump’s leadership. For revival to sweep across the USA. For God’s mercy to prevail. 

Continue to pray for our country. Have mercy, Lord.
