House of Prayer: June/July Prayer Points

“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” –Isaiah 56:7

Answered Prayers (Thank You, Lord):

1. For the restoration and expansion work beginning on the Parish Hall. 2. For arrival of our new clergy member, Alfonso Crawford, who begins work July 1. 3. For the St. Philip’s Academy teachers and students. 4. For Lisa Dubay, the new director of St. Philip’s Preschool, and the children. 5. For VBS: for the volunteers and especially Dorothy Lancaster and her team. 6. For the successful women’s luncheons: for the excellent speakers and for Katie Freer, Director of Women’s Ministries. 7. For the many babies baptized. 8. For the many new members joining St. Philip’s. 9. For Connie and all of the meals that she provides. 

Prayer Points

1. For the continued safety of the construction workers. 2. For continued blessings and protection for Bishop Edgar, our clergy, and their families. For extra energy and encouragement for our clergy during this challenging season. 3. For Jeff’s continued healing and his mother Pat’s healing, as well. 4. For the children’s choir’s upcoming journey to England for the International Children’s Choir. Keep the children, Zippy, and her team safe and let everything go smoothly. 5. For the 50 adults going on the pilgrimage to Scotland and England and for Andrew and Rachel leading the trip. Pray for everyone to stay well and the schedule to work well. 6. For all of the classes to be filled in the Academy. For Justin to have everything he needs to be an excellent headmaster. 7. For Lisa Dubay and her staff to work well together. For the children to be blessed by their lessons. 8. For the members of our church serving in various military positions all over the world. Keep them safe, Lord. 9. For Ben and Stephen, our sextons, and all the staff members and all that they do to keep things running smoothly. 10. For the Open Door Ministry to be successful and for all the volunteers––new and returning––to be blessed by their ministry.

Prayer Points for the Nations

Ukraine: For peace between Russia and Ukraine and wisdom for those working towards it. For Putin and Zelenskyy to be able to agree to a cease fire and stop the war. For Putin to have a change of heart or remove his position of authority. Iran/Lebanon: For these wars to end quickly and for new leadership to be people of peace. For the Strait of Hormuz to be opened. For great discernment for our leaders working on the issues. For there to be a ceasfire between Hezbollah and Israel, and for the alliance between Hezbollah and Iran to end. Cuba: For a new, godly leader who cares about the people to be elected quickly. For humanitarian aid to get through to the people. For Marco Rubio as he works with both sides for a new direction for the people of Cuba. Israel: For the peace agreement with Lebanon to be successful. For Hamas to surrender the next phase of a restoration plan can begin. For protection for Israel and peace within the walls of Jerusalem. For the upcoming election to be fair. For God’s choice to be made. USA: For reconciliation between the House and Senate. That the funds would be granted for the various agencies that have been blocked. For wisdom for the Supreme Court justices as they make decisions that affect the country and the people. May they govern in unity and with wisdom. For the President to be surrounded by people who provide wise counsel. May they be people of prayer. Keep him and his family safe, and give him wisdom daily for the many decisions that have to be made. For safety and protection for all in authority from the President down to our local governors and officials and their families. For the midterm elections to vote in godly people who love this country. For the upcoming celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary, and for the safety for the many people that will be gathered in Washington for the celebration.

South Carolina: That the upcoming runoff election will vote in a godly governor for our state. Thanks to McMasters, who has governed well. For the part that South Carolina is going to play in the 250th celebration. For the needed volunteers to be available and for the plans honoring the history we participated in as our country became a nation to be inspired by God. For balance and harmony in our city between visiting and those who live here. For Mayor Cogswell and city council to have wisdom in developing traffic plans for our city. Prayer: As a revival broke out in Charleston many years ago, may it move again across our state and nation, in Jesus’ Name. Thanksgiving: For the lovely American Gardens. Thank you to Ben Navarro, who was instrumental in making it happen.
