House of Prayer: December Prayer Points
“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” –Isaiah 56:7 “The prayers of the righteous avail much.” ––James 5:16a
Answered Prayers (Thank You, Lord):
1. For all the workers and their continued faithful and excellent restoration work. 2. For the successful fundraising for the children’s choir journey to the International Children’s Choir Festival in England this summer. 3. For the arrival of the lights for the church. 4. For all the people who attended the first two St. Philip’s Academy open houses. 5. For the success of last month’s ECW event with Kari Kampakis with over 250 in attendance. For Katie Freer’s leadership and the hard work of the ECW board to make it happen. 6. For the many Bible studies happening in the parish and for the leaders’ excellent teaching. 7. For the wonderful worship being led by Chris, Paul, and Zippy.
Prayer Points:
1. For all of the necessary permits to be granted for the opening of the services in the church. For the timelines to be met. 2. For safety for all of the workmen working on the various properties. 3. For continued blessings and protection for Bishop Edgar, our clergy, and their families. For God’s peace to rest upon our clergy and staff. Put every anxious thought under the captivity and obedience of the Lord Jesus Christ. 4. For Mere Anglicanism to be well-attended. For protection and blessings upon all the speakers and extra strength for all those working on the details. 5. For the Angel Tree outreach to go well. For the trees to be “plucked clean” of their ornaments. 6. For the Academy classes to be filled and for the teachers to be hand-picked by the Lord. For the Holy Spirit to guide Justin in all the decisions being made. 7. For the Children’s Christmas Eve Pageant to go well. 8. For special comfort from the Holy Spirit for all those who lost a loved one in 2025.
Prayer Points for the Nations
Ukraine: For peace between Russia and Ukraine and wisdom for those working towards it. May God’s guidance prevail in every meeting. Jesus, in your Name we bind all power and interference from the enemy from the negotiations.
Nigeria: For the persecution of the Christians in this country to stop. Thank you, Lord, for the little girls who escaped safely; may all of the others be rescued as well.
Venezuela: For a new leader for the country to be raised up. For what has been stolen from the people in this nation to be restored. For all drug shipments coming and going though their system to be stopped. For wisdom for our leaders dealing with this challenge.
Israel and Gaza: Thank you, Lord, for the release of hostages as well as the deceased whose bodies have been returned. Pray for the peace agreement to remain in place and to be protected. For those in authority to have unity and wisdom as they move into the next phases to restore and rebuild the land. For a hedge of protection around Israel and peace within the walls of Jerusalem. For mercy for all of the people misplaced during these multiple war zones. For the humanitarian aid that they need to be provided and the supplies protected. For healing for the hostages as they adjust to being home and back in community.
Haiti: For the safety of the doctors, nurses, and patients going back and forth from the clinic following its relocation due to danger from the gangs. For a godly leader to be raised up in the upcoming election.
USA: Thank you, Lord, that the government shutdown is over. Pray for reconciliation between the House and Senate and wisdom for the Supreme Court justices as they make decisions that affect the country and the people. For the president to be surrounded by people who provide wise counsel. May they be people of prayer. For safety and protection for all in authority from the president down to our local governors, officials, and their families. For the Homeland Security Agency to be successful in finding those involved in human trafficking, drug trafficking, and terrorist activities. For violence to stop all across the nation and those financing it to be exposed. For revival to sweep across the USA. For God’s mercy to prevail.
